I have a DREAM...: 2011

DAY 1
Off to New York with twin! Took a taxi with Ava, Christi, Joey and Anica to the airport! And luckily Anica and Joey are with me for the next couple hours of madness, of I love airports... Joey is such a sweetheart, in love with him <3 ahaha So glad he is sitting next to me on this flight, I am looking forward to talking to getting to know him finally!
So.... Of course I get to the airport and my ticket won't print, then I go through security and I am randomly selected to be patted down. awesome. they trace my hands with some weird device...and apparently my lotion has 4 traces of explosives. Good job Maleah. Gold Star. " Im the Bomb" hahah So then all my bags are practically ransacked, and they make me open my Christmas presents...and my Victoria Secret lotion and body spray are 15oz over the limit. So they make me throw it away. " I wouldn't take those home to your wife, they might be explosive" ...yes I said that, and he goes " Ma'am you should be careful what you say, you are in an airport"....Thanks captain obvious. But he was right...they could have put me in jail. Of course who would ever expect a 4'10 blonde, 15 year old looking girl? ..haha either way.. joking about bombs at the airport is never a good idea...lesson learned. Off to a great start! Anica, Joey and I head over to Tim Hortons, my new favorite coffee place ( really sad its not in CA), I sit down and have coffee and meds for my wonderful cold...feeling better now, I can relax. I just wish my cold would go away :( GREAT timing...just saying.

Time to get on my flight!

...sooo quickest flight ever... but as I am getting off, I look for my chapstick in my makeup bag, and gouge my finger with my razor...fannnntastic! actually not....it was like 10 worse than a paper cut, and bled for at least 30 minutes. NOT my favorite. Butttt I got to meet Joeys mom! She is so freaking adorable!

Off I go...time for NY
I accidentally forgot to change my Canadian to US dollars....So after taking the AirTram allll the way to the NJ Transit...I get to go back and trade in my $....OMG $400can= $350 US .. :( Ill make it work...
Train ride was quick and easy... =) woooo thank goodness!

I arrived11 Park Central New York Hotel! Only a $10 Cab ride :) Woo! Now waiting for twinnie to arrive!....seriously $3.75 to check my luggage? Check it where? Are you taking it to my room? So confused....

FULL bars, free wifi, no FB? I don't understand??....An hour and a half later she arrives...YAY twin is here!! We checked her bags and rannnnn ...The Ginsburgs spend the day with us :) Central park, Twin Tower ( World Trade Center) Memorial, then Rockefeller Plaza and Times Square...I can barely walk I am so exhausted so I go home and pass out at like 8!

DAY 2

First stop statue of liberty! Rode the ferry to The Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island! So beautiful!
Next we take a free bus to the Brooklyn Bridge! Went shopping at Guess, cute new clothes, then off to Wall street! Wall street is pretty cool. Me and Marissa mistake a building for the Empire State Building..oooops haha. Next stop China Town! Wooo... we bought fake perfume, and a Juicy bag...so stupid, why did we buy these? I knew better...so gullible. After Chinatown we headed home. Time to change and go to Shake Shack! I have heard so many good things. I am starving, hope its good!!

Marissa is in line for our food, and I am looking for seats because this place is ridic ...and there is nothing anywhere...people are literally standing next to tables while people are eating just waiting for them to get up...its kinda scary...anyways...I am standing there and these two NYPD officers come up to me, they begin to ask me a question as my twin rolls up with our beeper for our food. They are curious what our ethnicity is....Marissa goes into a long story about how we have no clue..haha. Finally we get our food and sit down, the NYPD officers excuse themselves so we can eat... about 5 minutes later...burger and fries in hand one of the officers comes back, he kneels at our table and asks us what our plans for the night are, and then slides his phone number to us...ON A TICKET..haha of all things...( this has to be illegal) ...and then leaves. Hilarious. NYPD is badass...

Marissa has been texting this officer, looks like we are meeting up with him?!

NYPD Party!! OMG funniest night ever....NYPD is fun to party with, they were doing ridiculous dances, trying to limbo, and acting like idiots. I was so entertained. Unfortunetly I had one too many cocktails and was tired around 1am...so I went home and slept...and Marissa went to Times Square with the officer we met..his name is Angelo Dipremo? He is 100% Sicilian...interesting. Totally Marissa's type...tall, dark, handsome..haha...and a cop...not bad...and he used to be a history teacher for 10th graders...even more impressive...well to me at least.

DAY 3
Wake up and check out!! Off to east village...where beatnik was born, cool city! Breakfast at McDs and Dunkin..gross . what was I thinking. East Village is pretty cool, stopped at a CVS and picked up my medication. YAY! Next stop, Union Square. Me and Riss are not getting along. I am so over hearing about her love affair! Union square is really fun...they have an annual christmas thing...so there is a bunch of really cute unique stores...its like a never-ending maze! Marissa is not enjoying anything...she decides to sit and pout cause I don't want to leave to see her boy...I end up walking and seeing all the stores by myself....finally I go back and find her...and she begs me to go with her to see him...Ughhhh ...whatever..off I go. We take the subway back to Times Square....He is still working so we wait at starbucks....but my phone is dying so I went to Baja Fresh to charge it...she meets up with me there after she visits with him on his break....I sat for almost 2 hours by myself....what a nice sister...I can tell she really missed me and wanted to spend time with me? Damn boys... they ruin everything. Well...time to go...off to Madison Square garden. woohoo......Madison was great! Well....we went kinda late...and the people were kinda weird..they were trying to sell us fix to the game...but they were all really creepy.. After madison we get some street mean..mmmm hot dogs...they were actually good this time, the ones in central park kinda sucked! Penn Station real quick, then off to see the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING! Woo kinda excited. ...Empire state buiding was great. they had a bunch of mini empire state building, so we took a lot of pictures. I wish we could have gone up...but we were on a strict budget..next time! Afterwards we took a stroll down 5th to the library and bryant park. The library is gorgeous..wish we could have gone inside, but it was closed... Bryant parks ice rink is so pretty..I love the christmas tree. And the stores are really cute! I want to eat at the restaurant there someday...it was adorable. Now back to times square...we went to the museum.took some fun photos, then over to mcdonalds to relax... Marissa ran to go see her police man again while i sat by myself AGAIN for a couple hours... She was gone forever...I was almost worried...Now off to Park Central to get our bags and head to the train station to go to Connecicut! Hour train ride woooo...

DAY 4
Christmas!!! Ahhhhh! I am in Connecticut with the lovely Ginsburg family. It was so sweet of them to let us celebrate with them! I wake up at like noon, hahah got dressed and went to dinner at Pam's brothers restaurant!! So cute! Dinner was soooooo freaking good. Delicious. Best dinner I have had in a longggg time. Michael Seri...hitting on me ...hilarious...yet gross..you are so old. Shayna is super sweet =] And Ryleigh is adorable =] Noah is my favorite though...this witty, charming, hilarious 12 year old..hahhah I loved him. I would so date him if I was 12 hahah. Such a sweet kid. Now time to go back to the Ginsburg's home! Which is, but the way, this gorgeous little dollhouse on the lake. So perfect. I love it. <3 Watched "The Help" with the family...it was soooo good, can't believe I cried...I never cry during movies..kids get me every time though..and the ending was heartbreaking.. But then we watched Easy A, which I had seen, but was still really good. I love Emma Stone. Now time for bed, long day tomorrow.

DAY 5
Home to Toronto!
I thought we were going to have all day to finish seeing the sights in NY. :/ really kinda disappointed, but I guess Ill just have to come back! Woke up, got ready, said goodbye to the family, and Pam dropped us off at the train station, hour train tide to grand central, met this nice boy named Jake, damnn why didn't I get his last name..he was super sweet and well...extremely attractive. He works as a legal assistant in Brooklyn. haha time to Facebook stalk all the Jakes..haha jk. Anyways. finally at grand central.. make my way to the bus to go to newark airport. said goodbye to Marissa. still pretty angry with her...I was hoping for an apology but she still seems to think she did nothing wrong...so it wasn't a good goodbye.. I hate that she expects me to just pretend I'm ok and happy with her when in not...like i should not be allowed to feel how I feel. I can't just put it under the rug and pretend I'm ok..nope ..so yeah...now I'm sitting on this bus..glad to be going home...make it to the airport finally..luckily I didn't get randomly selected for another full body scan hahha no traces of explosives this time.. I'm here sooooooooo early! 3 hours until my flight. I think Im gonna get dinner! Ate at a yummy mexican place...had a burrito bowl type thing. really good for airport food. now time to wait for my flight. 3 hours to go! Noellia finds me , her and Sally are taking the same flight back we me! Yay!! me and Noellia sit together and watch Friends with Benefits on the flight home. It is such a quick flight, customs was a breeze..getting ready to get on the bus with Noellia and Scott from Disney says its only $3 to take the bus and subway..I didn't want to spend 24 bucks...so I went with him! So we take a bus ride about 20 minutes and get on the subway. and in about an hour I am home! So excited to be back in my bed! And I have all day off tomorrow! Woo Nick and Alissa get home and I tell them all my silly crazy stories...Now it is time for bed!! What an amazing vacation. I have wanted to go to NY forever, especially during Christmas, so this was such a dream come true =] and a huge check off my bucket list!!
